NKF Local Chapter Program
NKF has professional councils that represent the interests of certain subgroups within the general membership.
- The Council on Renal Nutrition (CRN) represents dietitian members.
- The Council of Nephrology Social Workers (CNSW) represents the social worker members.
These two Councils have local chapters, managed by volunteer leaders, that help carry out the mission of NKF at the region level. These local chapters provide education to professionals and patients in their communities.
Local chapters complete an affiliation application with the National Kidney Foundation when they are chartered, and then submit a renewal every two years. All chapters must submit an affiliation form in Fall 2024.
NKF Professional Membership
All healthcare professionals participating in local chapter activities are encouraged to become NKF professional members. To get started please complete a membership application.
