Big victories are possible with your voice
On June 1st, the National Kidney Foundation (NKF) launched Voices for Kidney Health, a national community of patient and kidney care professional advocates. Voices for Kidney Health elevates the unique stories of patients and providers.
The community will collaborate with elected officials and other public leaders to create big solutions that work—policies to help those facing the challenges of kidney disease and to promote better kidney health across the country.
NKF advocates aim to use their collective experiences and stories to work toward the following:
- Pass bills in state capitals and Congress that will stop insurance companies from jeopardizing coverage of post-transplant kidney donors
- Expand access to home dialysis
- Increase funding for awareness, healthcare equity, and research programs.
