March is National Kidney Month
March 25, 2025 - New York, New York – The National Kidney Foundation (NKF), has teamed up with influential personalities from health, fitness, entertainment and lifestyle sectors to promote the value of proper hydration and the importance it plays in kidney health.
The Bilingual campaign featuring English and Spanish PSA’s, aims to raise kidney health awareness in the Latino community, where the risk of Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is twice as high as the general population. Currently, 37 million people are at risk of developing CKD.
“Kidney health is an issue that often goes unnoticed, but it’s something that needs to be addressed—especially in the Hispanic community, where risk factors like diabetes and hypertension are more prevalent,” said Dolores Machua-Ruiz, Chief Marketing Officer at the National Kidney Foundation. “NKF is excited to partner with so many amazing influencers to remind everyone that early detection and prevention can make all the difference and it’s time we ensure that everyone has access to the knowledge and resources they need to protect their kidneys and overall health.”
