Join Us

Join the National Kidney Foundation and IGA Nephropathy Foundation Workshops to find ways to ensure that patients and providers hear and understand what the other is saying during office visits. This topic is important because studies show that strong communication between physicians and patients results in improved outcomes for patients.

What

During in-person Workshops across the U.S. over the next 8-10 months, patients of all ages with IgAN, care partners, nephrologists, and nephrology care team members will identify barriers to optimal communications during office visits and will suggest solutions to these barriers.

To encourage free discussions, patients and providers attending Workshops will NOT be from the same practice (your providers or patients will not attend your Workshop).

Our ultimate goal is to foster excellent communications between patients living with IgAN and nephrology providers during office visits and therefore improve treatment and clinical outcomes for patients.
