The majority of our donations are cars, trucks, or vans. However, we accept boats, motorcycles, motor cross bikes, power sports equipment including ATVs, off-road motorcycles, construction equipment, and personal water craft such as Jet-Ski with a trailer hitch. Yes, we are happy to accept vehicles whether they run or not, as long as it has a title.

The following states require license plates remain with the vehicle, unless they are personalized. Please contact your local department of motor vehicles if you have additional questions.

Once a car is donated, it is sold through auction to recyclers and dealers. The National Kidney Foundation sells each car in a competitive bidding environment, offered to thousands of buyers who may recondition your vehicle, or recycle it for its most valuable use. Many donated vehicles that are not in running condition are recycled. After the car sells, the National Kidney Foundation uses the proceeds to fund lifesaving programs and services for millions of Americans who have kidney disease.

You do not have to be home. We will make arrangements to pick up your vehicle at a time that is most convenient for you.
