Transplant Advisory Committee Member
Bruce Tippets received his kidney transplant on Oct. 18, 2018, at the University of Utah hospital in Salt Lake City. He did in-center dialysis for four and a half years before he received his life-saving transplant. Bruce and his wife, Stephanie, live in Vernal, Utah. He is a newspaper reporter for the Vernal Express and the Uintah Basin Standard. Bruce and his co-founder, Joel Brown, started Dreams in Motion (DIM), which is a non-profit organization. They honor people of all ages who are going through serious health challenges or who have overcome them. DIM then provides the person with a first-class experience at a college or professional sporting event. Bruce recently started his own podcast called Transplant Heroes. His mission is to interview people who have received a transplant or who are waiting in line. He also wants to visit with donors and donors' families. His goal is to promote donor awareness. Bruce serves on the National Kidney Foundation Advocacy Committee
