NKF Announces Dr. Jesse Roach as New SVP of Government Relations

Accomplished Health Leader and Nephrologist to Drive NKF's Legislative Agenda

Washington, DC, (7/29/2024) – The National Kidney Foundation (NKF) has named Jesse Roach, MD, as the permanent Senior Vice President of Government Relations, effective immediately. Dr. Roach had previously been serving in the role on an interim basis.

Dr. Roach, a nephrologist, is a longtime advocate for kidney health and brings an exceptional breadth of experience and knowledge to this pivotal leadership role. He is the former Chief Medical Officer for Quality Measurement at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), and most recently served as Chief Medical Officer for CVS Kidney Care. He has expertise in clinical quality, health equity, and strategic collaboration will be invaluable as NKF continues to be a champion for kidney health and patients.

Dr. Roach will be based in Washington D.C. and will lead the organization’s advocacy efforts including NKF’s annual Kidney Patient Summit.
