Hot Topics in Kidney Health – this is a patient podcast by NKF and recent topics include laughter therapy, reproductive care, treatment options for undocumented people, and the post-transplant diet.
Kidney Essentials – created for medical students and residents of the University of Colorado to make nephrology more accessible and less intimidating; includes a brief explanation on renal pathophysiology.
If you’re looking for a kidney research study, check out the NKF Research site for information on study and grant participation opportunities.

Hello Everyone!
Happy Summer!
Spring Clinical Meetings 2023 has now come to a close completely. With new virtual technology, it lasts longer than just those few days that are spent together in person. It is a bittersweet time every year. The joy of seeing friends and colleagues that you often only see once a year. The fatigue that happens from excess learning, preparing for presentations, committee meetings, travel and networking that happens in a community of like mindedness. By joining CNSW, you too can share in these great moments.
When you join or renew your membership, you will receive these benefits:
- Discount registration to the NKF Spring Clinical Meetings, NKF's premier educational event
- Free and discounted online CE through NKF's Professional Education Resource Center (PERC)
- A subscription to the Journal of Nephrology Social Work (JNSW)
- E-access to the American Journal of Kidney Diseases, Advances in Kidney Disease and Health and the Journal of Renal Nutrition (over $1500 value)
- Subscription to RenaLink, NKF's interdisciplinary renal health information and industry news e-magazine
- Opportunity to apply for Nephrology Social Worker Certification (NSW-C)
- Eligibility to apply for educational travel stipends, research grants, and the Fellowship of the National Kidney Foundation (FNKF)
- Eligibility to serve on the Council of Nephrology Social Workers (CNSW) Executive Committee
- Access to the CNSW Membership Listserv, where everyone can exchange information, ideas, resources, and participate in events such as Gary Petingola's CNSW Midweek Meditation. CNSW offers 4 separate listservs for members: General, Pediatrics, Transplant, and Chapter Chairs
- Enjoy discounts at the NKF Store
Share these wonderful benefits with your colleagues, friends and co-workers by inviting them to join CNSW.
