Dr. Gayle Vranic is a Transplant nephrologist with the MedStar Georgetown Transplant Institute where she is the medical lead for the living donor kidney transplant program. She graduated from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine going on to complete her Nephrology and Transplant training at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and the University of Virginia, respectively. She is pleased to be joining the Duke Transplant Center in August 2023 as the Director of the Living Donor kidney transplant program. Her areas of interest include use of paired donor exchange to increase access to living donation and care of the highly sensitized kidney transplant candidate.
