In session 7 of NKF’s series, Navigating Transplant: A Guide to Empowering Your Patients, we host a panel discussion aiming to illuminate the intricate journey of transplant patients, offering perspectives from those who have experienced it firsthand. We will hear from patients who have navigated the complex transplant process, transplant and dialysis providers who offer crucial medical and emotional support, and a living donor who has given the ultimate gift in order to save someone’s life. Together they will share their experiences, challenges, and triumphs, providing invaluable insights into the multifaceted world of kidney transplantation. This virtual session will be on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at 12pm PT  / 2pm CT / 3pm ET and is not credit bearing.

Bay Area Ending Disparities in Chronic Kidney Disease Stakeholder Summit

Over the past few months, healthcare professionals and community members in the Bay Area have convened in four workgroups to discuss barriers, solutions, and equitable implementation strategies to improve early testing and diagnosis of CKD. In collaboration with these thought leaders. With nearly 100 participants in the summit, NKF and the summit workgroup members met on Wednesday, March 27th from 9:00 to 11:00 am PDT to share the Bay Area CKD strategy.
