Join the National Kidney Foundation for the 2013 Kidney Care Education Day on Saturday, April 6th at the Maplewood Community Center. It is a day for our Kidney Community (kidney patients, family member and caregivers) to meet and discuss topics related to kidney disease. Attendees will break out in to small discussion groups with a moderator to discuss how the topics relate to them, affect them and share advice/tips with others. The 2013 topics include: Money Matters; Diet & Nutrition; Living with Chronic Illness and Dialysis & Modality Options.
8:30 AM - 9:00 AM - Registration, Exhibits and Continental Breakfast
9:00 AM - 9:45 AM - Welcome, NKF Update, Celebration of Life and "Who Wants to be a Kidney-aire" Game Show
9:45 AM - Noon - Interactive Discussions (three breakout sessions. Speakers to rotate every 45 minutes)
10:30 AM - 11:15 AM - Dialysis and Modalities with Alexandra Bailey (This workshop is for patients on, or facing dialysis)
Noon - Meeting adjourns
